...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN NATCHITOCHES AND 
CENTRAL GRANT PARISHES UNTIL 1230 AM CDT...

At 1153 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8 
miles south of Montgomery, or 18 miles southeast of Natchitoches, 
moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Colfax, Montgomery, Dry Prong, Aloha, Lake Iatt, Chopin, Williana, 
  Cloutierville, Bentley and Melrose.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening 
weather conditions.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio 
stations and available television stations for additional 
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. 
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe 
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
