Weather Summary for Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa
National Weather Service Omaha/Valley NE
1029 PM CDT Fri Jul 27 2018

A few showers were noted across eastern Nebraska Friday evening, with
one strong thunderstorms that traveled from near Neligh and Norfolk
to Columbus and on to the southeast by late evening. Temperatures had
cooled into the upper 60s and lower 70s by 10 PM.

A persistent flow of upper level impulses riding southeast from the
Northern Rockies into the Plains will continue to generate scattered
showers and thunderstorms for much of Mid America through Saturday
afternoon. Areas from western South Dakota through Nebraska and into
Kansas, and western sections of Iowa and Missouri will see a fairly
decent chance for thunderstorms. The strongest storms on Saturday
look to affect western Nebraska and western Kansas, with more general
showers and thunderstorms across the rest of the region.

Low temperatures by Saturday morning will fall back into the upper
50s to middle 60s. Afternoon highs should range from the 70s in
Nebraska and Iowa, to the 80s in Kansas and southern Missouri.
