Survey Summary:
The tornado first touched down just south of CR-345 on the west
side of Winona. There, it lofted a small metal outbuilding,
throwing it across the road. It also uprooted a tree. It continued
on to clip the Winona Independent School District campus. There, it
lifted a training sled as it crossed the football field and damaged
the roof on a dugout. The tornado just missed hitting school
buildings by only around 200 yards.

It continued on to hit another small metal outbuilding, rolling
it and destroying it before it crossed FM-16. After crossing FM-16,
it paralleled Hussey Circle, downing several more large branches
and snapping a large tree which fell into a home. The tornado
went on to uproot hardwood trees as it crossed CR-155. Its path was
its widest at this point before it shortly lifted thereafter.

A special thanks goes out to Smith County Emergency Management for
their assistance in locating damage during the survey.
