...Forecast Flooding Changed from Minor to Moderate Severity for the
following rivers in Illinois...
Skillet Fork River at Wayne City
.Recent heavy rainfall has caused a larger river rise at Wayne City, which
is now forecast to rise into moderate flood later this morning.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
SAFETY MESSAGE...
Never drive cars...trucks or sport utility vehicles through flooded
areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow
children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather
Radio or your local media for further statements and possible updated
forecasts.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Skillet Fork River at Wayne City* At 6:00 AM Friday the stage was 16.4 feet.
* Flood Stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 19.0 feet by this
evening. The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow morning.
* Impact...At 15.0 Feet...Minor flooding occurs affecting mainly
bottomland and surrounding low lying areas.
