Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.

VFR ceilings are expected to lower to MVFR shortly after sunset
this evening and continue lowering through the night with the loss
of diurnal mixing. Guidance is in good agreement on another round
of marine fog working inland overnight with the highest
probability of visibility restrictions at BPT and LCH.
Visibilities will improve between 14Z and 15Z with ceilings
lifting to MVFR later in the morning.
A stationary front across the region will begin to lift
north Tuesday morning allowing scattered showers and
thunderstorms to initialize within the very moist low level
environment.

DISCUSSION...
This afternoon a stationary front is bisecting the forecast area
with a few showers continuing along the stalled boundary with
temperatures generally in the mid 70s to lower 80s depending on
cloud cover. With the light winds this morning did see brief fog
work in off the gulf. Water temperatures remain in the low to mid
60s for the lakes and eastern coastal waters, thus expecting
another round of fog overnight as the front beings to lift back to
the north.
As the next system approaches the western plains on tomorrow, the
warm front will lift north across the area as a warm front and
showers and thunderstorms are likely along and north of the front.
The winds will increase enough to disperse the fog by around 9 AM
or so.
A temporary break in the precipitation is expected tomorrow night
with the next round of showers and thunderstorms expected
Wednesday with the cold front. Still seeing the slight chance for
severe thunderstorms across the northeastern two thirds of the
area with the high risk across to the northeast.
After the front passes Wednesday drier and slightly cooler
conditions will prevail for much of the remainder of the forecast
with POPs increasing in the last period of the forecast as
moisture increases ahead of the next system moving across the
plains.
MARINE...
Fog looks to be an issue tonight across the lakes and coastal
waters south of Cameron Parish and Jefferson County. Showers and
thunderstorms will be possible with a front on Wednesday. Breezy
conditions on Wednesday may require some headlines.
