Weather Summary for Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa
National Weather Service Omaha/Valley NE
745 PM CST Thu Mar 2 2017

Surface high pressure is forecast to settle across Mid America this
evening, then slide east of the Mississippi River on Friday. The
result will be mostly clear skies and chilly temperatures tonight,
then a return to southerly winds and little milder temperatures on
Friday. The remnants of a weak cold front may trigger a few flurries
this evening from eastern South Dakota into western Iowa, and then
again on Friday in Minnesota and northern Iowa. Otherwise no
precipitation is forecast in the Plains.

Low temperature tonight should drop into the teens across much of
northern Nebraska, northern Iowa and eastern South Dakota, while
holding in the 20s over the rest of the region. Highs on Friday will
range from the 30s in northern Iowa to the 60s in western Kansas.
Western Iowa and eastern Nebraska will see highs from the upper 40s
to middle 50s.
