The result will be mostly clear skies and chilly temperatures tonight, then a return to southerly winds and little milder temperatures on Friday. The remnants of a weak cold front may trigger a few flurries this evening from eastern South Dakota into western Iowa, and then again on Friday in Minnesota and northern Iowa. Otherwise no precipitation is forecast in the Plains. Low temperature tonight should drop into the teens across much of northern Nebraska, northern Iowa and eastern South Dakota, while holding in the 20s over the rest of the region. Highs on Friday will range from the 30s in northern Iowa to the 60s in western Kansas. Western Iowa and eastern Nebraska will see highs from the upper 40s to middle 50s. $$
