Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 mph Path Length /statute/: 14.63 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/20/2025 Start Time: 08:49 PM CDT Start Location: 2 S Tremont / Tazewell County / IL Start Lat/Lon: 40.4928 / -89.495 End Date: 04/20/2025 End Time: 09:05 PM CDT End Location: 2 N Deer Creek / Tazewell County / IL End Lat/Lon: 40.6649 / -89.337 Survey Summary: The tornado touched down about 2 miles south of Tremont and progressed for 14.6 miles moving northeast at 55 mph. It went through countryside areas damaging numerous trees and a couple power poles. Some of the more intense damage was where the tornado uprooted a 3 foot diameter tree along with snapping a power pole. One grain bin lost its top and another outbuilding lost most of its metal roof.
