Survey Summary:
An EF-2 tornado started just north of the town of St. Philip in
far eastern Posey County. It tracked northeast into Vanderburgh
County crossing Highway 66 and into the St Joesph area. These
areas experienced some of the worst damage with several homes
suffering rather significant roof damage. There was also
extensive tree damage near Highway 66 with many snapped pines.
The tornado crossed Highway 65 and moved just to the west of
Darmstadt. Numerous homes suffered either roof or siding damage
along the track. Dozens of trees were snapped or uprooted as
well. The tornado turned a bit east and ended along Darmstadt
road about a mile north of town.
