...NWS Damage Survey for 03/14/2025 Tornado Event...

Two additional long-track tornadoes were confirmed by damage 
survey crews today. These tracks are not yet complete, but
preliminary information is included below.

.Western and Northern St. Louis County SURVEY ONGOING...

Start Time:             9:20 PM CDT
Start Location:         Chesterfield, MO 
Start Lat/Lon:          38.65 / -90.57 

Survey crews confirmed tornado damage stretching along a nearly
continuous path starting in Chesterfield, MO near Chesterfield
Mall, continuing northeast through parts of Maryland Heights,
Bridgeton, Hazelwood, and Florissant. Additional damage continued
further northeast, but crews have not yet completed this portion
of the track. Thus far, at least EF-2 damage was recorded, that
being in the community of Bridgeton. Additional details regarding
the path length, timing, and width will be provided when the
survey has been completed.


.Reynolds / Wayne / Iron / Madison Counties SURVEY ONGOING...

Estimated Peak Wind:    150 mph
Fatalities:             6
Injuries:               UNK
Start Date:             3/14/2025

Survey crews confirmed a long track tornado across Reynolds,
Wayne and Iron counties, with damage reaching at least EF-3 
levels in the vicinity of Des Arc, Missouri. Damage also continues
into Madison county, but this portion of the track has not yet 
been surveyed. As this survey is also not yet complete, the
rating may change. 6 fatalities were reported in the Wayne county
portion of this track, and multiple homes were completely 
destroyed. A more complete assessment of the damage will be 
provided when surveys are completed.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0.....65 to 85 mph
EF1.....86 to 110 mph
EF2.....111 to 135 mph
EF3.....136 to 165 mph
EF4.....166 to 200 mph
EF5.....>200 mph

change pending final review of the events and publication in NWS
