Rating: EF2 Estimated Peak Wind: 120 mph Path Length /statute/: 8.67 miles Path Width /maximum/: 175 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 1 Start Date: 03/14/2025 Start Time: 07:50 PM CDT Start Location: 4 SE Doolittle / Phelps County / MO Start Lat/Lon: 37.8998 / -91.8203 End Date: 03/15/2025 End Time: 07:58 PM CDT End Location: 3 ENE Northwye / Phelps County / MO End Lat/Lon: 37.9854 / -91.7045 Survey Summary: NWS storm survey concluded that an EF-2 tornado with peak winds of 120 mph started 4 miles SE of Doolittle and tracked northeast through southeastern portions of Rolla. The tornado crossed I-44 before lifting just south of the Little Prairie Conservation area with a total path length of 8.7 miles.The peak width of the tornado was 175 yards. The tornado damaged several homes with one person injured. Significant roof damage was noted to some homes. Roof damage also occurred to multiple schools. Multiple businesses also sustained roof damage with several plate glass windows blown out. Numerous trees were also uprooted or snapped along the path of the tornado. && EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories: EF0.....65 to 85 mph EF1.....86 to 110 mph EF2.....111 to 135 mph EF3.....136 to 165 mph EF4.....166 to 200 mph EF5.....>200 mph NOTE: The information in this statement is preliminary and subject to change pending final review of the event and publication in NWS Storm Data. $$
