...NWS Damage Survey for 07/14-15/2024 Tornado Events...

Sentinel satellite data revealed three more tornadoes from
the July 14-15 severe weather events. Two occurred in Marshall
County late on the evening of the 14th, and one occurred in
Tazewell County during the July 15th derecho.

Survey Summary:
Sentinel satellite data showed a second tornado northeast of
Varna touched down, just north of where the first one ended. It
crossed county road 800N near a farmstead and lifted shortly
afterward. An enhanced area of wind damage was seen in a corn
field near the end of the track, just west of the intersection of
800N and 2500E.

Survey Summary:
Sentinel satellite data revealed a southeastward track through a
corn field, beginning near the intersection of Victory Hills Rd
and Dee-Mack Rd, and ending just shy of Wurster Rd. The max width
occurred near Wurster Rd.
