...NWS Damage Survey for 07/09/24 Tornado Event...

.Overview...

The National Weather Service has determined that a brief and weak 
EF0 tornado occurred on Tuesday evening in Martin county. Pictures, 
damage reports from emergency management and radar data all support a
weak tornado that reportedly skipped across the area and was only on
the ground briefly. Small trees and larger tree limbs down were the only 
damage reported.

Survey Summary:
Eyewitness accounts indicate a brief and weak tornado was skipping
across this area with damage noted in two locations. A few trees were
down across Dover Hill road and also on Killion Mill Rd. Pictures also
showed a funnel cloud southeast of Loogootee but no damage has been 
reported from that area as of this time.

for their help in determining this tornado path and rating.
