Tree damage occurred in Beloit, but is believed to have been from downburst winds based upon tree damage patterns and surveillance video. Further east, a more obvious tornado damage path occurred east of Lake Geneva. This tornado was very brief but went through at least two residences. Trees were in a convergent pattern and debris lofted. .Lake Geneva... Rating: EF0 Estimated Peak Wind: 80 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.5481 miles Path Width /maximum/: 75.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/05/2023 Start Time: 06:38 AM CDT Start Location: 2 ESE Lake Geneva / Walworth County / WI Start Lat/Lon: 42.5809 / -88.395 End Date: 04/05/2023 End Time: 06:40 AM CDT End Location: 2 E Lake Geneva / Walworth County / WI End Lat/Lon: 42.5844 / -88.3855 Survey Summary: Tornado started just east of Lake Geneva along Townline road separating Town of Lyons and Town of Bloomfield near Hwy 12. Tornado did the most damage to a residence's yard in the Cobble Creek neighborhood where a distinct convergent path of lofted debris was noted. Numerous trees uprooted with some minor structural damage to the house (roofing-shingles/soffit). Tornado lofted a fire pit from that property to the end of the driveway of a neighboring property at the end of Cobble Creek.
