Survey Summary:
This tornado path was originally thought to be the beginning of
the long path tornado that crossed into Bamberg County, SC. New
high resolution satellite data now indicates that this path was
independent and much shorter. As mentioned before, this tornado
touched down just west of Wells Branch Road, near the Allendale
Barnwell County Line. In this area, the tornado was strongest,
snapping and uprooting many trees. The tornado then appeared to
have weakened as it continued eastward across a remote area,
before dissipating near near the CSX Railroad line, still within
Allendale County, SC.
