...NWS Damage Survey for 8/29/21 - 8/30/21 Tornado Event...

Update #2...

Although several weeks have passed since Hurricane Ida impacted
the area, NWS New Orleans/Baton Rouge continued its remote storm
surveys from Hurricane Ida. The team used damage reports from
emergency management and high-resolution aerial photography
images from the NOAA Remote Sensing Division following Hurricane
Ida in coastal Mississippi and southeastern St. Tammany Parish, LA
to conduct most of these surveys. Another team of NWS
meteorologists was able to conduct a ground survey of an EF-0
tornado in Gulfport, MS on September 2.

An additional 7 tornadoes were found, bringing the event total to
15 confirmed tornadoes during Hurricane Ida on August 29-30.
