Rating: EF-0 Estimated Peak Wind: 65-70 mph Path Length /statute/: ~0.5 miles Path Width /maximum/: 15 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: August 18, 2021 Start Time: 435 PM EDT Start Location: 6592 RT. 522 Middleburg, PA Start Lat/Lon: 40.798/-76.991 End Date: August 18, 2021 End Time: 436 PM EDT End Location: Globe Mills/West Hollow Rd End Lat/Lon: 40.806/-76.991 The tornado touched down near the Middleburg Livestock Auction Barn along U.S. 522 in Middlecreek Township. A tree fell onto a fence on the west-side of the barn and a horse trailer was flipped on its side. The tornado was on the ground periodically tracking essentially due north for about one-half (0.5) mile crossing through a corn field where a convergence signature was observed. The corn damage swath was approximately 15 yards wide. Damage to some trees was noted toward the end of the path where the tornado lifted around the intersection of Globe Mills and West Hollow Road. A house and garage sustained minor roof damage near the end of the path.
