Two tornadoes have been surveyed from the severe storms on the afternoon of April 27 and morning of April 28. .West of Truscott Texas... Rating: EF3 Estimated Peak Wind: 136 to 140 mph Path Length /statute/: 8 miles Path Width /maximum/: Approximately 300 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/27/2021 Start Time: 03:49 PM CDT Start Location: 6 W Truscott / Knox County / TX Start Lat/Lon: 33.75 / -99.92 End Date: 04/27/2021 End Time: 04:05 PM CDT End Location: 3 NNE Truscott / Knox County / TX End Lat/Lon: 33.79 / -99.79 Summary: This tornado formed approximately six miles west of Truscott and initially moved just north of due east with occasional damage to mesquite trees. As it approached County Road 2610 and FM 1756 a semi truck was knocked over and a 4000 pound cattle feeder was blown about 850 feet to the north-northeast. Two structures on the southeast side of Truscott-Brine Lake received roof and window damage. Utility poles were broken from the area just southeast of Truscott-Brine Lake to State Highway 6, including steel utility poles that were bent. The tornado weakened and then dissipated after crossing Highway 6. .East of Pauls Valley Oklahoma... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 105 to 110 mph Path Length /statute/: 4 miles Path Width /maximum/: Approximately 150 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/28/2021 Start Time: 12:00 AM CDT Start Location: 4 N Wynnewood / Garvin County / OK Start Lat/Lon: 34.70 / -97.17 End Date: 04/28/2021 End Time: 12:10 AM CDT End Location: 5 ENE Pauls Valley / Garvin County / OK End Lat/Lon: 34.76 / -97.14 Summary: This tornado formed approximately four miles north of Wynnewood along the Cherokee Sandy Creek and moved northeast. Access to the entire track was limited by flooded roads, but the tornado appeared to have moved through relatively open country for 1.8 miles before striking a small farm on N CR 3285. The tornado destroyed one barn and damaged another on the south end of the farm, and destroyed a larger barn on the north side of the farm. A home nearby also sustained broken windows and numerous trees were downed or uprooted. Several outbuildings on the property were damaged or destroyed. Several power poles were broken and trees were damaged intermittently along the tornado’s path as it moved again through relatively open country. The tornado struck another farm on N CR 3290. A section of a home’s roof was removed, one barn destroyed and another damaged on the farm, and several large trees were damaged or uprooted. The tornado continued through open country before dissipating about one half mile northeast of the farm. EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories.
