A funnel cloud developed on the south side of Barnes Road just west of 6339 Barnes Road. The tornado initial touchdown occurred in a wooded area then moved across the property. A 60x80 foot garage was flattened. A 53 foot semi trailer was lifted and rotated and set down approximately 150 feet away. The tornado then destroyed the majority of a 80x50 foot barn with only the front facade remaining. Windows of the home on the property were sucked out with torrential rains causing water damage to the interior of the home. Some livestock suffered minor injuries. The tornado then traveled across Barnes Road where approximately 275 yards away half of the second story of a barn was torn away. The tornado then continued about 500 yards damaging two barns on the east and west side of Thayer Road. From there the tornado continued approximately another 1500 yards with the last tree damage visible toward the east end of Farr Road. All other damage surveyed in Chautauqua and Cattaragus counties was consistent with straight line thunderstorm winds.
