...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 07/15/2020...

.Overview...
A tornado developed about 3 miles north-northwest of Farmersville,
Illinois on Wednesday July 15th 2020 at 5:18 PM near the intersection
of Rovey Lane and East 1st Road. A few storm chasers captured
video of the tornado as it moved northeast and then north toward
the Montgomery and Sangamon County Line. On video the tornado
appeared to be multivortex and violent, yet damage in the St.
Louis CWA was limited to a few broken tree branches, flattened
corn and the partial destruction of a small outbuilding.
Therefore, we must rate the torando as EF-0 on the Enhanced Fujita
Scale. The tornado did continue north toward Divernon, IL in
Sangamon County. WFO ILX (Lincoln, IL) will be providing the
survey details for that portion of the track.

We would like to thank Montgomery County Emergency Management for
assisting us in documenting the damage from this tornado.
