...Summary...
A  National Weather Service damage survey has confirmed an
EF1 tornado occurred the evening of May 5 in southeast Chester
County with a path from Highway 321 south of Chester
southeastward to just past Discovery Road south of Highway 97. 
Peak winds of 100 mph were estimated form numerous large trees
snapped or uprooted.  Some damage to the siding of a home and to
a mobile home were also found.  No injuries have been reported. 
A second tornado touched down further southeast which moved into
Lancaster County.  Information on the second tornado will be
given in a separate PNS.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 to 200 mph
EF5...Violent...>200 mph
