A brief, weak tornado touched down just north of I-85 in northwest Anderson County Wednesday evening. Several trees were uprooted and pushed over on Hix Road near the intersection with Centerville Road. The tornado crossed a cove of Lake Hartwell, with a few limbs down along Sandy Springs Road. The tornado uprooted another small tree along Beaver Trail before lifting.
