Survey Summary: A tornado touched down southwest of the Highway 484 
interchange along Interstate 75 near Mile Marker 340 in the 
SummerGlen and Marion Oaks subdivisions, roof damage to a at least 
one home. The tornado crossed the Interstate, snapped numerous pine 
and cedar trees, and pushed a truck stationed at a power substation 
more than 100 feet, with flying debris shattering numerous windows of 
adjacent trucks. The tornado reached its peak intensity of 110 mph 
just northeast of Interstate 75, with significant damage occurring to
two homes, with numerous trees downed and and a metal street sign 
twisted and snapped. The tornado then continued on an intermittent 
path as it raced northeastward, producing mostly minor roof and 
window damage along Sapphire Run near Southeast Maricamp Road in the 
vicinity of Silver Springs Shores.
