Summary: An EF-1 tornado touched down in the Kisatchie National
Forest near the intersection of Bell Road and Forest Service Road
172 between Dry Prong and Georgetown, and nearly paralleled Forest 
Service Road 172 before widening and strengthening as it crossed 
Forest Service Road 131. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted 
along its path, especially near and just west of Forest Service 
Road 131, before crossing Forest Service Road 167 and lifting.

locating the damage in this survey.

near Flora, LA...

Summary: A line of severe thunderstorms produced instances of 
straight line wind damage over Southern Natchitoches Parish near 
the Flora community, where several trees were snapped and uprooted 
in a east-northeasterly direction, with other instances of large 
limbs snapped along Highway 478. Another tree was snapped and fell 
across some power lines near the intersection of Highways 478 and 
120.

Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness for their assistance 
in locating the damage in this survey.
