Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 2.21 miles Path Width /maximum/: 500.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/19/2020 Start Time: 02:17 PM CDT Start Location: 6 NNE Dry Prong / Grant Parish / LA Start Lat/Lon: 31.6606 / -92.4863 End Date: 04/19/2020 End Time: 02:21 PM CDT End Location: 7 SW Georgetown / Grant Parish / LA End Lat/Lon: 31.687 / -92.4675 Summary: An EF-1 tornado touched down in the Kisatchie National Forest near the intersection of Bell Road and Forest Service Road 172 between Dry Prong and Georgetown, and nearly paralleled Forest Service Road 172 before widening and strengthening as it crossed Forest Service Road 131. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted along its path, especially near and just west of Forest Service Road 131, before crossing Forest Service Road 167 and lifting. Much appreciation goes out to the Grant Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness for their assistance in locating the damage in this survey. .Straight Line Wind Wind Damage in Southern Natchitoches Parish near Flora, LA... Rating: TSTM/Wind Estimated Peak Wind: 75-85 mph Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/19/2020 Start Time: 01:23 PM CDT End Date: 04/19/2020 End Time: 01:24 PM CDT Summary: A line of severe thunderstorms produced instances of straight line wind damage over Southern Natchitoches Parish near the Flora community, where several trees were snapped and uprooted in a east-northeasterly direction, with other instances of large limbs snapped along Highway 478. Another tree was snapped and fell across some power lines near the intersection of Highways 478 and 120.
