Survey Summary: An EF-1 tornado touched down between the Leesville
Airport and Lake Vernon Road. Numerous trees and power lines were
blown down, uprooted or snapped off along West Hawthorne Road,
Leesville County Club, Highway 117, LA Hwy 28, and Belview Road.
Some of the trees fell on homes and vehicles. No one was seriously
injured.

EF Scale:  The Enhanced Fujita Scale Classifies Tornadoes into
the following categories.

EF0...Weak......65 to 85 MPH
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 MPH
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 MPH
