Summary:
Colbert County EMA, in collaboration with NWS Huntsville
meteorologists, relayed pictures and detailed information of
damage in far western Colbert County. After cross-referencing
the EMA reports and pictures to radar data and near-storm
environment observations, NWS Huntsville determined the damage
was consistent with a weak EF-1 tornado, with peak winds of
88 mph.

The tornado uprooted a couple trees near Petertown Rd,
which runs parallel to the MS/AL border and continued slightly
northeastward toward Allsboro Rd. As the tornado crossed
Allsboro Rd, it caused more widespread damage along Bishop Ln.
Several trees were uprooted while a few softwoods were snapped.
Structure damage, in the form of small farm buildings/sheds, was
observed further down Bishop Ln. These structures sustained roof
damage while one building also had a collapse of its walls.

The tornado continued eastward and uprooted two more trees before
lifting about three quarters of a mile east of Allsboro Rd.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into
the following categories.

EF0...Weak......65 TO 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 TO 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 TO 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 TO 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 TO 200mph
EF5...Violent...>200mph
