Rating: EF-0 Estimated Peak Wind: 75 mph Path Length /statute/: 8.92 miles Path Width /maximum/: 275 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: Feb 06, 2020 Start Time: 1:57 AM CST Start Location: 5 NW Pea Ridge Start Lat/Lon: 33.2121 / -86.9694 End Date: Feb 06, 2020 End Time: 2:10 AM CST End Location: 4 NNW Alabaster End Lat/Lon: 33.2934 / -86.8537 Survey Summary: The tornado touched down in a wooded area near Overlook Terrace Road and tracked northeast, moving across a largely uninhabited area. There was very limited access to areas the tornado moved across until it reached Environs Parkway. The tornado moved across Moss Bend Drive where timber damage was observed with trees snapped or uprooted. Further northeast, numerous trees were snapped or uprooted along a portion of Oak View Lane. The tornado continued northeast into a neighborhood where a portion of a home's roof was removed, and siding was removed from at least one home. The window to a home was blown out along with additional damage to trees. The tornado continued northeast roughly paralleling Hillsboro Parkway where more trees were uprooted. The tornado dissipated just east of Appleford Road. .TORNADO #2 Spring Hill Tornado (Marengo County)... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 105-110 mph Path Length /statute/: 1.29 miles Path Width /maximum/: 400 yards Fatalities: 1 Injuries: 1 Start Date: Feb 06, 2020 Start Time: 2:13 AM CST Start Location: 3.5 SE Demopolis Start Lat/Lon: 32.4617 / -87.8012 End Date: Feb 06, 2020 End Time: 2:15 AM CST End Location: 3.7 SE Demopolis End Lat/Lon: 32.4725 / -87.7834 Survey Summary: The tornado touched down southeast of Demopolis, west of US Highway 43. The tornado moved northeastward and produced damage near Starmont Lane and Orchard Drive. Several trees were uprooted or were snapped off. Two homes suffered minor damage. The most concentrated damage occurred at US Highway 43 near CR 54. This is the location where 2 manufactured homes were destroyed and 2 homes were damaged. The one injury and the one fatality occurred in the manufactured home that was totally destroyed. Several trees were blown down in this location too. The tornado continued across US Highway 43 where it destroyed a barn and knocked many more trees down. The tornado then lifted before it crossed French Creek near the quarry. The tornado damage path was 1.29 miles long and was 400 yards wide at its widest point. EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories.
