398 NOUS44 KTSA 272243 PNSTSA ARZ001-002-010-011-019-020-029-OKZ049-053>076-281045- Public Information Statement National Weather Service Tulsa OK 543 PM CDT Mon May 27 2019 ...NWS DAMAGE SURVEY FOR 05/26/2019 TORNADO EVENT... .OVERVIEW...A squall line moved into northeastern Oklahoma from the west during the late evening hours of Saturday, May 25th. Several tornadoes developed along the leading edge of the line. A long-lived circulation occurred along the line where the line intersected an outflow boundary from storms that weakened to the north. That circulation resulted in several tornadoes from Sapulpa to near the Arkansas state line. Several of those tornadoes have been surveyed and several remain to be surveyed. In addition to the tornadoes, there was a lot of straight-line wind damage across the region. Details of those that have been surveyed follow. .Kellyville Oklahoma Tornado... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90 to 100 mph Path Length /Statute/: 10.7 miles Path Width /Maximum/: 1000 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: May 26 2019 Start Time: 12:14 am CDT Start Location: 5.8 SW Kellyville / Creek County / OK Start Lat/Lon: 35.9079 / -96.3092 End Date: May 26 2019 End Time: 12:24 am CDT End Location: 5 E Kellyville / Creek County / OK End Lat/Lon: 35.9477 / -96.1260 Survey Summary: This tornado developed southwest of Kellyville near the intersection of I-44 and Highway 66, and moved east passing south of Kellyville before turning toward the northeast and dissipating east of town. It snapped and uprooted many trees and destroyed outbuildings. .Sapulpa Oklahoma Tornado 1... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 to 110 mph Path Length /Statute/: 12.5 miles Path Width /Maximum/: 1400 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: May 26 2019 Start Time: 12:21 am CDT Start Location: 5.6 W Sapulpa / Creek County / OK Start Lat/Lon: 35.9876 / -96.2139 End Date: May 26 2019 End Time: 12:38 am CDT End Location: 2.4 SE Jenks / Tulsa County / OK End Lat/Lon: 36.0471 / -96.0060 Survey Summary: This large tornado developed west of Sapulpa, west of the intersection of I-44 and Highway 33. It moved east along Highway 66 then across the northern portion of Sapulpa. It crossed Hickory Hill Road near the Creek Turnpike and moved into Tulsa County near W 91st Street S, and dissipated near Highway 75. The tornado damaged homes and businesses, snapped and uprooted numerous trees, and blew down numerous power poles. .Sapulpa Oklahoma Tornado 2... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 to 110 mph Path Length /Statute/: 12.3 miles Path Width /Maximum/: 2200 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: May 26 2019 Start Time: 12:27 am CDT Start Location: 1.3 SW Sapulpa / Creek County / OK Start Lat/Lon: 35.9911 / -96.1320 End Date: May 26 2019 End Time: 12:39 am CDT End Location: 3.6 SE Jenks / Tulsa County / OK End Lat/Lon: 36.0106 / -95.9137 Survey Summary: This large tornado developed near the Sapulpa Golf Course and moved east roughly between E Taft Ave and E Dewey Ave. It crossed Hickory Hill Road and S 49th West Ave south of the Creek Turnpike and moved into Tulsa County near W 111th Street S. Due to the width of the tornado, damage was noted both north and south of the Creek Turnpike east of S 49th West Ave. It moved across Jenks, crossed the Arkansas River, and dissipated east of S Yale Ave north of E 111th Street S. The tornado damaged the roofs of many homes, snapped and uprooted numerous trees, and blew down numerous power poles. .Broken Arrow Oklahoma Tornado... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 75 to 80 mph Path Length /Statute/: 1.4 miles Path Width /Maximum/: 350 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: May 26 2019 Start Time: 12:52 am CDT Start Location: 1.7 NE Broken Arrow / Tulsa County / OK Start Lat/Lon: 36.0694 / -95.7716 End Date: May 26 2019 End Time: 12:54 am CDT End Location: 2.9 NE Broken Arrow / Tulsa County / OK End Lat/Lon: 36.0720 / -95.7459 Survey Summary: This tornado developed on the south side of the Broken Arrow High School and moved east across two neighborhoods along County Line Road. It dissipated west of S 209th East Ave. The tornado damaged the baseball field, damaged the roofs of homes, and snapped large tree limbs.
