The National Weather Service in Wakefield confirms that a brief
EF0 tornado touched down on Bailey Store Road, about 2.5 miles
southeast of Federalsburg, in Dorchester County MD. This
tornado was embedded within a line of severe storms which moved
through the Maryland Eastern Shore Sunday Night. Small Sheds were
damaged or destroyed, an empty trailer was tipped over and some trees
were snapped or downed with this tornado.
EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into the
following categories:
EF0...Weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 to 135 mph
