Several sections of this line bowed out...causing straight line wind damage. Several embedded tornadoes also developed within this line of thunderstorms. This is an update to the Harrison County tornado to no include a survey summary. .Tornado #1 in Harrison County near Marshall... Rating: EF-2 Estimated Peak Wind: 105-115 MPH Path Length /Statute/: 3 Miles Path Width /Maximum/: 225 Yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: Mar 24 2017 Start Time: 831 pm CDT Start Location: 7 WSW of Marshall, TX Start Lat/Lon: 32.4825/ -94.4499 End Date: Mar 24 2017 End Time: 836 pm CDT End Location: 4 WSW of Marshall, TX End_Lat/Lon: 32.5102 / -94.4169 Survey_Summary: An EF2 tornado touched down just south of interstate 20 about 7 miles southwest of Marshall, Texas, and proceeded northeast across the interstate into rural parts of Harrison county. The tornado snapped and uprooted numerous hardwood and softwood trees, pushed metal carports over, ripped roofing material off of a couple homes, and completely destroyed a metal outbuilding. .Tornado #2 in De Soto Parish in the Grapevine Estate... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90-100 MPH Path Length /Statute/: 2.09 Miles Path Width /Maximum/: 220 Yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: Mar 24 2017 Start Time: 1005 pm CDT Start Location: 8 SSE of Stanley, LA over Toledo Bend Reservoir Start Lat/Lon: 31.8531 / -93.8726 End Date: Mar 24 2017 End Time: 1015 pm CDT End Location: 7 SSE of Stanley, LA End_Lat/Lon: 31.8776 / -93.8531 Survey_Summary: A water spout over Toledo Bend Lake moved inland at the Grapevine Estates as an EF1 tornado. Three boats were lifted out of the water, with two being deposited between 250 and 300 yards north of the lake and one on the back porch of a house. Three homes sustained minor siding or roof damage. One home lost it back porch roof, and another lost a carport structure. Several pine trees were snapped along Grapevine Road, making access to the neighborhood difficult. The exact start point of this tornado is uncertain as it began over Toledo Bend Reservoir. .Tornado #3 De Soto Parish near Mansfield... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 90-100 MPH Path Length /Statute/: 1.46 Miles Path Width /Maximum/: 110 Yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: Mar 24 2017 Start Time: 1035 pm CDT Start Location: 1 ESE of Mansfield, LA Start Lat/Lon: 32.0248 / -93.6846 End Date: Mar 24 2017 End Time: 1038 pm CDT End Location: 2 E of Mansfield, LA End_Lat/Lon: 32.0330 / -93.6616 Survey_Summary: An EF1 tornado touched down along Pine Street, and then moved to the northeast along Binning Road. The primary damage was snapped pine trees. However, two homes had trees fall on them, and four out buildings were damaged or destroyed by falling trees. .Tornado #4 Natchitoches Parish near Hagewood... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 105-115 MPH Path Length /Statute/: 9.03 Miles Path Width /Maximum/: 1.4 Miles Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: Mar 24 2017 Start Time: 1100 pm CDT Start Location: 4 NNW of Provencal Start Lat/Lon: 31.7063 / -93.2166 End Date: Mar 24 2017 End Time: 1109 pm CDT End Location: 4 NNW of Natchitoches End Lat/Lon: 31.8027 / -93.1265 Survey_Summary: An EF1 tornado touched down on the southwest side of Hagewood, just west of Highway 117. Although the primary damage was snapped trees, two businesses at the intersection of Highway 117 and Highway 6 sustained some damage. The first was a metal warehouse that lost some siding. Across the street, a pool supply business sustained some roof damage. There was also an I-beam structure behind the pool business that had several I-beams knocked down, including one that was blown over that had been attached to the concrete base. Several homes had minor roof damage, including one that had a corner of the roof lift enough for the ceiling to cave in. Several outbuildings were damaged or destroyed. .Tornado #5 Winn Parish near Wyatt... Rating: EF-1 Estimated Peak Wind: 95-105 MPH Path Length /Statute/: 1.22 Miles Path Width /Maximum/: 350 Yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: Mar 24 2017 Start Time: 1149 pm CDT Start Location: 6 NW of Dodson Start Lat/Lon: 32.1278 / -92.7470 End Date: Mar 24 2017 End Time: 1150 am CDT End Location: 6 SSW of Jonesboro End Lat/Lon: 32.1435 / -92.7371 Survey_Summary: An EF1 tornado touched down along Highway 505, just west of Wyatt, snapping several trees. This tornadic damage was sporadic and interspersed with straight line wind damage that occurred along and north of Highway 505. .Tornado #6 Jackson Parish near Weston... The primary damage was snapped trees. However, one metal outbuilding was overturned. .Thunderstorm Wind # 1 in De Soto Parish... Peak Wind: 100 MPH Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Date: Mar 24 2017 Time: 1056 pm CDT Location: 12 NE of Mansfield Lat/Lon: 32.1531 / -93.5528 Survey Summary: Twelve empty railroad cars were blown off the track at the International Paper Plant. They also had two wooden power poles snap at the base. .Thunderstorm Wind # 2 in Bienville Parish near Ringgold... Peak Wind: 95-105 MPH Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Date: Mar 24 2017 Time: 1124 pm CDT Location: 1 W of Ringgold Lat/Lon: 32.3278 / -93.3082 Survey Summary: The Ringgold Assembly of God Church had its roof lifted by straight line winds. As the roof came back down, it crushed the unreinforced cinder block walls near the front of the structure, which then partially collapsed. Portions of the roof structure were found approximately 25 yards away from the main building. Two-by-fours from the roof structure also pelted the home across the street, with one two-by-four piercing the swimming pool slide in the back yard. All debris was found immediately down wind of the church. A home about a half mile west of the church lost some shingles, and several trees were uprooted. .Thunderstorm Wind #3 Winn Parish...
