On December 25th, 2021 the official high temperature at the Rio Grande Village COOP was 94 degrees. This is not only the highest temperature ever recorded on Christmas Day in the state of Texas, but also for the entire United States. The previous record was 93 degrees set at La Pryor, TX in 1955.
