...Two Confirmed Tornadoes...
...Storm Surveying Continues...

The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, NJ conducted
storm surveys across the region today (Thursday, August 19th).  
The surveys are in relation to severe thunderstorms that moved 
through the area last night and very early this morning. Two 
tornadoes have been confirmed and some preliminary information is 
below.

Preliminary confirmed tornadoes...

1. Tilden Township, PA (Hamburg) in Berks County, PA. The tornado
touched down around 900 PM August 18th.

2. EF-1 from Souderton, PA (Montgomery County) to Silverdale and 
the Perkasie area in PA (Bucks County). The tornado touched down 
around 1230 AM August 19th.

Areas still being surveyed...

1. Central portions of Morris County, NJ around the Rockaway area.
