As this cell crossed the state line from North Florida into south Georgia, a tornado touched down over the Eagle Hammock RV Park near Kings Bay Base. ..Eagle Hammock RV Park Tornado... Rating: EF2 Estimated Peak Wind: 128 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.1568 miles Path Width /maximum/: 100.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 07/07/2021 Start Time: 05:44 PM EDT Start Location: 3 SW Kings Bay Base / Camden County / GA Start Lat/Lon: 30.7713 / -81.5489 End Date: 07/07/2021 End Time: 05:47 PM EDT End Location: 2 SW Kings Bay Base / Camden County / GA End Lat/Lon: 30.7736 / -81.5491 Survey Summary: Preliminary NWS damage survey found the damage at the RV Park indicated the tornado was an EF-2 with max sustained winds of 128 mph. There were multiple RVs flipped over. Two were flipped completely upside down. One was flipped and blown about 200 feet into the lake north of the RV park along with a pickup truck. Several hardwood trees at the park were also snapped.
