Please note that this information is preliminary as the survey of damage in Bald Head Island has not been completed at this time. A waterspout moved onshore at Bald Head Island then crossed the Cape Fear River and came onshore again in Southport near the west end of West Bay St. Some tree damage occurred near Yacht Basin Drive along with damage to some businesses and nearby homes. The tornado then crossed near the marina, W Brunswick St, W West St, W Brown St, W St. George St. and Arabella Lane uprooting trees and snapping large branches while causing minor home damages. The tornado continued across Robert Ruark Drive and lifted just after Bonner Bussells Drive SE near Dutchman Creek Outlet Channel.
