NOAA Weather Radio station WNG-554, transmitting out of Winchester on a frequency of 162.525 MHz, is off the air due to a communications failure. We have contacted technicians to fix the problem, and expect it to be operational again as soon as possible. During the outage, persons across the listening area can get their weather information from other stations. They include: WWF-44 out of Fort Payne, transmitting on 162.500 MHz. KIH-20 out of Huntsville, transmitting on 162.400 MHz. The latest weather information is also available at our website, at http://weather.gov/huntsville.
