The National Weather Service office in Greenville-Spartanburg SC has completed a storm survey of damage that occurred near Simpsonville in Greenville County, South Carolina on April 14, 2019. It has been determined that this damage was associated with a severe thunderstorm that produced an EF1 tornado with maximum winds of 100mph. The preliminary maximum width of this tornado is 100 yards. The total length of the resultant tornado track has not yet been determined. A final assessment including the exact tornado path and length will be issued later this evening.
