Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 2.1 miles Path Width /maximum/: 200.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 01/02/2023 Start Time: 02:38 PM CST Start Location: 4 WNW Hot Springs Village / Garland County / AR Start Lat/Lon: 34.6940 / -93.0673 End Date: 01/02/2023 End Time: 02:41 PM CST End Location: 5 NW Hot Springs Village / Garland County / AR End Lat/Lon: 34.7208 / -93.0503 Survey Summary: This tornado began just to the southwest of Jessieville, causing tree damage around an Arkansas Forestry Commission building. The tornado then quickly moved northeast into Jessieville, and caused damaged to a few homes in town. Most notably, damage was noted to several buildings on the campus of Jessieville High School, and three out of four fixed light poles for the football field were bent over.
