.OVERVIEW...A tornado associated with an outer rain band of 
Hurricane Ian moved over Moore Haven early Wednesday morning, 
September 28th, 2022.

Survey summary: A tornado moved NW over portions of Moore Haven
early Wednesday morning, September 28th. First signs of damage was 
tree damage near Park Avenue and Yaun Road, with siding and panel
damage to a home on Park Avenue, as well as two storage trailers
tipped near the Sportsman Village on Daniels Road next to the 
US 27 bridge. The damage path ended near the Moore Haven Yacht
Club where siding damage to homes were observed. Damage is 
consistent with the higher end of the EF-0 scale. 

EF scale: The Enhanced Fujita scale classifies tornadoes into the 
following categories.

EF0...weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...strong....136 to 165 mph
EF4...violent...166 to 200 mph
EF5...violent...>200 mph
