Subject: TROS suspension of use at WFO Miami, FL

Note: The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather Wire 
Service Subscribers. 

The last upper air sounding conducted by the Transitional Radiosonde 
Observing System (TROS) at the Weather Forecast Office in Miami, FL 
occurred with the 00Z Wednesday June 29 2022 launch. Beginning with 
the 12Z Wednesday June 29 2022 launch, soundings are being conducted 
using the Vaisala Manual Radiosonde Observing System (MROS) which 
uses the Vaisala RS41-NG radiosonde.

The header for Miami, FL KMFL (Station ID 72202) has not changed 
with the introduction of MROS. The official header of the Miami 
Office will continue to be used for transmission of official 
products.
