Subject: RRS suspension of use at WFO Gaylord, Michigan

Note: The following changes have no impact on NOAA Weather Wire 
Service Subscribers. 

The last upper air sounding conducted by the Radiosonde Replacement 
System (RRS) at the Weather Forecast Office Gaylord, Michigan 
occurred with the 12Z launch on Tuesday May 24 2022. Beginning with 
the 00Z launch on Wednesday, May 25 2022, soundings are being 
conducted using the GRAW Manual Radiosonde Observing System (MROS) 
which uses the DFM-17 radiosonde.

The header for Gaylord, Michigan KAPX (Station ID 72634) has not 
changed with the introduction of MROS. The official header of the 
Gaylord Office will continue to be used for transmission of official 
products.
