There were 22 days where the daily average temperature was above normal, including 5 days where the daily average temperature was 10 degrees or more above normal. By comparison, only 5 days had a daily average temperature that was below normal, and none were 10 or more degrees below normal. The warmest stretch was from the 1st to the 9th, when temperatures were 5 to 15 degrees above normal. The monthly average temperature of 72.8 degrees ranked as the 12th warmest June on record (tied with 1987 and 1911), and was 3.6 degrees above normal. Precipitation was above normal, with the monthly total of 7.31 inches ranking as the 17th wettest June on record. Although this was nearly 3 inches above normal for the month, it was well short of the record monthly value of 11.56 inches set back in 1899. About 45 percent of the monthly precipitation fell on just two days: June 2nd and June 9th, when 1.41 inches and 1.91 inches of rain fell, respectively. ...Records...
