TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT...Dry airmass to the northwest flows into the islands as abundant moisture and showers exit southeast. A weak low about a 110 miles northwest of Tau will continue to descend southeast to the Manua islands. Most of the low's convections are been suppressed by dry air mixing into the system. Satellite shows a single cell developing in the center with minimum growth or expansion. ASCAT swath from this morning shows breezy winds in the northeast quadrant of the weak low. As dry air continues to feed into the low this afternoon, winds are expected to slightly diminish to gentle flow. Soundings are now showing stable conditions building over the islands. Expect gentle north winds tonight before becoming variable after midnight. .Long term... WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...A line of showers to the northeast will shift west on Wednesday. This will spread scattered showers over the islands before passing on Wednesday night. A weak surface high again bring stable conditions over the islands Thursday through Saturday. Expect variable winds throughout the new week. && .Marine... Seas have subsided 5 to 7 ft and persist throughout the new week.
