Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
552 FXUS64 KFWD 081038 AFDFWD Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Fort Worth TX 538 AM CDT Thu Oct 8 2026 ...New AVIATION... .KEY MESSAGES... - Quiet weather is expected through the upcoming weekend, with cool nights and warm afternoons. - Low rain chances will return by the middle of next week. && .SHORT TERM... (Tonight through Friday) Issued at 1140 PM CDT Wed Oct 7 2026 Our weather will remain virtually unchanged as we close out another work week today and tomorrow. Surface high pressure will keep calm and quiet conditions in place, with light winds, clear skies, and near-average temperatures. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 80s for most of the region, with a handful of locations reaching into the low 90s in the Big Country and Brazos Valley. Morning lows will fall into the upper 50s to mid 60s again tonight, with a slightly warmer night in the low to mid 60s expected Thursday night due to an increase in dew point temperatures. && .LONG TERM... (Friday night through next Wednesday) Issued at 1140 PM CDT Wed Oct 7 2026 A continuation of our quiet weather is expected through much of the extended period. East to northeast winds will persist through the upcoming weekend, reinforced by Hurricane Isaias which is anticipated to make landfall along the Gulf Coast early this weekend. This will keep temperatures nearly unchanged on a daily basis, with afternoon highs mostly in the mid to upper 80s. The Big Country/Brazos Valley will continue to see highs in the low 90s most days. The primary change we'll see this weekend and especially early next week will be the return of Gulf moisture to the region. This will result in warmer nights, with low temperatures only falling into the upper 60s to low 70s Sunday night onward. Additionally, the increase in moisture will set the stage for some low rain chances to return early in the week. However, ensembles are in good agreement that the greatest rain chances will hold off until sometime Thursday-Saturday next week and could very well be accompanied by a strong cold front. Stay tuned! && .AVIATION... (12Z TAFS) Issued at 538 AM CDT Thu Oct 8 2026 VFR will prevail through the period with no aviation concerns. Winds will continue to be light and variable with the exception of this afternoon, as winds are expected to increase to 5 to 7 knots out of the east/northeast. && .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
