Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
708 FXUS64 KFWD 072325 AFDFWD Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Fort Worth TX 625 PM CDT Wed Oct 7 2026 ...New AVIATION... .KEY MESSAGES... - Quiet weather is expected through the upcoming weekend, with cool nights and warm afternoons. - Low rain chances will return by the middle of next week. && .SHORT TERM... (This evening through Thursday) Issued at 1239 PM CDT Wed Oct 7 2026 Pleasant, early-fall weather and light east-northeasterly winds will prevail through Thursday as a surface ridge remains extended from the Midwest toward North Texas. Expect afternoon highs both today and Thursday in the mid to upper 80s across most of the region, nearing 90 degrees over parts of the Big Country and the Brazos Valley on the periphery of the primary ridge axis. Surface dewpoints will mix out rather aggressively again this afternoon, falling into the upper 40s to low 50s. Dry and clear conditions with light winds will allow for temperatures to fall into the upper 50s to mid 60s across much of the region again tonight (right around average for early October). && .LONG TERM... (Thursday night through next Tuesday) Issued at 1239 PM CDT Wed Oct 7 2026 Most eyes will be on Tropical Storm Isaias later this week and into this weekend as it traverses across the Gulf and toward the central Gulf Coast. The bulk of the deeper moisture and rain associated with this system will remain well east of our forecast area. We will start to see a slight increase in surface dewpoints as winds take on a more easterly component Friday and Saturday which will lead to slightly warmer mornings in the mid to upper 60s. Otherwise, expect similar afternoon highs largely in the mid to upper 80s with mostly sunny skies through at least Sunday. A brief period of mid/upper ridging will likely develop overhead early next week which may allow for afternoon high temperatures to creep up into the upper 80s to mid 90s regionwide by Monday. More appreciable moisture return and greater rain chances over North and Central Texas will likely hold off until Tuesday-Wednesday of next week as southerly winds re-establish over the region ahead of western CONUS troughing and a potential frontal system shifting south over the Plains. && .AVIATION... (00Z TAFS) Issued at 616 PM CDT Wed Oct 7 2026 There are no aviation concerns through tomorrow, and VFR/SKC conditions will prevail. Winds will predominantly be light northeasterly around 5 kts through the majority of the period, and will even be calm at times during the overnight hours. && .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
