Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
622 FNUS63 KFSD 071917 RFDFSD Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 217 PM CDT Wed Oct 7 2026 .DISCUSSION... Temperatures have warmed to the upper 60s and 70s across the area. This is resulting in lower humidity with humidity values down to 20- 50%, lowest along and east of I-29. Winds remain mainly light but a few locations are reported northwest winds with isolated gusts up to 20-25 mph. Thus, some locally elevated fire danger is possible through the rest of the afternoon hours before winds drop off this evening. Chances (20-50%) for rain will return for Thursday night for locations east of I-29. However, rainfall amounts look light, generally between a few hundredths to about a tenth of an inch or so. Warming temperatures for the end of the week along with strengthening southerly winds will result in elevated fire danger across the area, especially on Saturday as high temperatures warm to the 80s while dew points fall to the 50s, resulting in lower humidity values down to about 30-40%. Winds will also be strongest at 30-40 knots on Saturday. The main uncertainty regarding this fire danger potential is fuels. Fuels remain green from recent rainfall so will monitor how much drier fuels get heading into Saturday.
