Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.
096 FXUS63 KFGF 062325 AFDFGF Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Grand Forks ND 625 PM CDT Tue Oct 6 2026 .KEY MESSAGES... - Above average temperatures and dry conditions prevail through at least Saturday. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 326 PM CDT Tue Oct 6 2026 ...Synopsis... Upper pattern features a Pacific jet nosing into the Northern Plains out of the Canadian Rockies. At the surface, a weak and dry front is moving through the region this afternoon into evening. This may allow for some sprinkles, but overall lack of moisture and temperature change behind the front will prevent most rain from reaching the ground. Post frontal air mass tomorrow will be noticed mostly by an increase in northwest winds, gusting 25-35 mph, perhaps nearing 40 mph in northwest MN during the afternoon. Also in northwest MN, some rain showers may develop lee of Lake of the Woods during the afternoon. Lower RH values in southeast ND will allow for near critical fire weather conditions, however relatively higher moisture fuel status will negate any dedicated messaging of fire weather concerns at this time. Into late week, upper pattern stays rather zonal with some guidance suggesting upper ridging into the central CONUS by next week. This will continue to support above average temperatures and an overall dry forecast. && .AVIATION /00Z TAFS THROUGH 00Z WEDNESDAY/... Issued at 625 PM CDT Tue Oct 6 2026 VFR conditions persisting through the period with some high clouds present at times. Winds mostly light under 10 kts overnight but increasing from the NW through the morning and reaching sustained speeds of 15-20kts by the afternoon for all sites except perhaps BJI if the trees provide enough sheltering at the surface. Gusts will frequently be upwards of 25kts tomorrow afternoon with DVL, GFK and FAR seeing the best chance of > 30 kt gusts though confidence in that occurring is still below 50%. && .FGF WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES...
