Gusty winds and cold temperatures will make for a bitterly cold conditions today with winds chills staying mainly in the single digits above zero to low teens in the valleys, and single digits below zero over the northern and western mountains. Wind chills will return to 5 below to 15 below zero areawide by late tonight. Periods of mainly very light snow today will bring another coating to less than one inch, favoring the Northern Mountains and Laurel Highlands. Just some scattered flurries will be found across the Susquehanna Valley this afternoon. Reinforcing shots of arctic air will keep temperatures very cold through the end of the week and into the start of February. $$
