Through 6 PM, two lines of showers across the western half of our area will progress eastward at near 15 knots. Mariners encountering this activity should prepare for blinding downpours within moderate to heavy rainfall and wind gusts to near 25 knots. The stronger showers will attempt to develop into thunderstorms over the next couple of hours with an added threat for cloud- to-water lightning. Island communities may see up to a tenth of an inch of new rainfall. $$
