Bulk Download Help
This bulk download tool provides the NWS text
in a raw form, hopefully directly usable by your processing system.
You can either provide a complete 6-character PIL/AFOS ID or provide
the 3-character base ID (e.g., AFD). The start and end
dates represent 00 UTC for those dates. The Zip format is useful as
the filenames will have the product timestamp, which is useful for
when the product format has ambiguous timestamps.

.SHORT TERM...
(Tonight through Sunday night)
Issued at 1127 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025
The highlight of the short term will be the pleasant conditions!
Upper level ridging is centered over the central U.S, helping to
keep things relatively quiet weather wise. This ridge will continue
to dominate through the weekend, keeping things similar each day.
Thank to northerly flow, our temperatures will be right around
climate normals for this time of year. Additionally, we will have
drier air in place to keep the outdoor feel on the pleasant side.
Knowing all this, no rain chances in the short term. The ridge
starts to break down some heading into late week, which could help
some isolated rain chances creep back in. This would be welcomed
rain as the drought forecast continues to show worsening conditions
for our area.

.LONG TERM...
(Monday night through Friday night)
Issued at 1127 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025
Heading into the longer term portion of the forecast we will
gradually lose our battle to keep climate normal temperatures
around. By Monday, temperatures will be back to about 5 degrees
above average for this time of year. This comes as the upper level
ridge gradually slides eastward and centers itself basically right
overhead. This ridge will hold through the rest of the long term
period, keeping rain chances at ~0% through the entire forecast.

.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 1127 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025
All terminals are VFR and will remain that way through the forecast
period. Winds will get on the breezy side at times, but only around
the 10-12kt range.
&&
.MARINE...
Issued at 1127 PM CDT Fri Oct 10 2025
With the breezy northerly flow remaining in place through Saturday,
extended the Small Craft Advisory through 00Z Saturday for the
offshore waters. The advisory for the tidal lakes and sounds will be
allowed to fall off as the winds come down much sooner for those
areas. Overnight Saturday and into Sunday winds will ease for all
the marine areas. They will become a touch breezy again at times
throughout the period, but expected to remain below any hazard
thresholds.
