.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1155 AM CDT Thu Sep 25 2025
Broad troughing continues across the south-central U.S. this
afternoon while at the surface, a frontal boundary extends across
coastal TX/LA northeastward into TN/KY. Scattered showers and
storms have been ongoing over the Gulf waters since this morning,
with a few of these also affecting coastal regions. As we head
through the rest of the day, a few additional showers and storms are
expected, but the overall trend is for this activity to shift away
from the local area as the front moves through.

High pressure will build into the region behind the front and linger
through the weekend into next week. This will lead to lower rain
chances and a few nicer mornings with lower dew points as well
before a warming trend starts this weekend and continues into next
week.

A frontal boundary will continue to push through the Gulf waters
through tomorrow, with some lingering storms through the rest of

.FIRE WEATHER...
